Turkey Day

Yesterday was Kaitlyn's first Thanksgiving. She did not eat any turkey and stuffing yet since I didn't bring the food processor to Grandma's house to accomodate her. She will be eating turkey and stuffing leftovers for dinner tonight. She had a fun day, even though she stayed awake until about 11:30pm. She was very well behaved and patient. Everyone loved her little red dress...and her legs even stayed warm without tights...probably because she never stops moving them!!

Kaitlyn and Wormy

Kaitlyn and Wormy are best buds when it comes to sleepytime. She always falls asleep with wormy in her hand...petting him. Wormy is the caterpillar from The Hungry Caterpillar. She usually likes to put him on her face and rub his mane of yarn. We caught her using him as a pillow the other day!! What a cutie...we love her.

It's Winter Here

Kaitlyn has been patiently waiting to wear her boots...and once we see snow, the boots come out. This morning we got her bundled up and brought her to day care. When we walked in the door to pick her up at the end of the day they told us that they think Kaitlyn is a genius. She's been waving goodbye now for about 3 weeks, but today it was a different goodbye. She was waving goodbye to the kids as they were leaving day care (she's usually the last to be picked up) and she was saying "bye bye". Awwwwwww...our little genius. We have not witnessed bye bye yet, but she was so exhausted when she came home that she ate and went right to bed. We are hoping to witness this in the morning. And I hope she screams for daddy like she did early this morning because it got him out of bed immediately!!

Clapping Baby

Kaitlyn had her doctor's appointment yesterday where she got 4 shots. She weighed in at 13 lbs 6 oz, which puts her in the 10-25% percentile. She is a little peanut, but she is doing great and is healthy. She's eating like a champ...fruit, veggies, chicken soup, beef stew...you name it, she eats it. The doctor asked "Is she always this happy?" Kaitlyn is a very happy baby. She rolls around to get where she wants to go...either that or she backs herself up. She says MaMa and waves goodbye...and now claps...and she's so proud of herself when she claps. The doctor said she is very advanced for her age. Kaitlyn keeps us busy and entertained.
